Thank you @nativeplant_society, Sayeh and all the volunteers for a fun native plant garden tour. Sayeh has a beautiful garden with lots of different interest. She had a fun scavenger hunt we completed and wonderful labels of host plants in her garden and which butterflies and moths use them. At the end of the tour she generously teaches winter sowing and gifts one of the several species of natives she grows. Wow! What an event! Thank you 🙏 It was so worth battling the traffic on the 401 🤣 We really enjoyed the visit and all the education 💚

One happy Pawpaw!! 🥭 I haven’t really checked in on my Pawpaws this year. I kind of forgot about them 😬 I planted them as seedlings in the tree line behind some of our gardens and they aren’t always easy to see. I couldn’t believe how big this happy this tree is. Look at those huge leaves! I wonder how long it will be until our Pawpaws are big enough to flower and produce fruit?! 🤔 I’ve yet to eat the fruit and am dying to try one! Pawpaws are also the host for Zebra Swallowtails 🦓🦋 a gorgeous butterfly who lives further south.

Finally 🙌🧡🐛 I’m hearing so many people with the same experience this year…seeing hardly any Monarchs. Sadly I’ve only seen a handful of adults as well. However, we are starting to see lots of little cats in the garden 😮‍💨 Have you been seeing many Monarchs or their cats this summer??

Do you see it? 👀

These days it feels like everytime I’m in the garden stick bugs appear. Started with the smaller hatchlings earlier in the year and now I’m see adults. We seem to have a good population of them around. Love their camouflage posture with their two front legs and antennas stretched out. Such cool insects!! Have you seen any stick bugs lately?
